Mimosa hostilis, also known as Mimosa tenuiflora and Tepezcohuite in Mexico where this bark is sourced from. All of our Mimosa hostilis (MHRB) comes from a sustainable farm and by buying farm grown Mimosa you avoid potentially contributing to the over-harvesting of wild trees. We regularly test (roughly every 3-6 weeks, depending on shipment frequency) to assure a consistently high-quality product.
Produces a rich, deep pink/purple colour in natural fabrics such as cotton and wool. Can also be used as Wood Dye when mixed with an oil such as linseed or tung.
